Travelstart B2B Account Manager

Purpose of Role

 

To support and grow the agent network of Travelstart’s B2B channel, neXt, across the regions he/she will be responsible of.

 

Work Performed

 

The primary focus of the Account Manager will be to:

• Operate as the primary point of contact for customers using the neXt product

• Support all registered agencies on the neXt network as and when needed

• Develop solid relationship with agents using the neXt product

• Communicate all updates and changes of the product to agents using the neXt product

• Assist in escalating high severity requests to the correct teams

• Contact agents that are not using the network to find out why they are not booking and what support they need

• Consolidating agency accounts to ensure on time payment of commission

• Reporting

- Present to non-iata agents to recruit them to use neXt

- Source and contact SMME’s to recruit them to use next

- Source and contact big distribution partners and corporate companies to source them to use next.

The secondary focus of this role will be to:

• Monthly newsletter to all agents using neXt

• Identify target groups that would be able to utilize neXt in their business

• Organize events throughout the regions he/she will be responsible of.

• Attend trade shows/conventions to promote the product

• Develop an in-depth understanding of the product technology

 

Skills & Requirements 

 

• Minimum 3 years travel industry experience

• Proven sales track record, ability to source leads and secure new business opportunities

• Excellent marketing skills

• Exceptional networking and relationship building skills

• Good presentation skills

• Proficient at Excel, Word and PowerPoint
